JOB TITLE:QA ManagerREPORTS TO:Technical Services ManagerDepartment:Quality Assurance
Role Purpose:Manage through subordinates the coordination of the activities of Quality Assurance andQuality Control in the plant. Responsible for results in terms of product quality and conformance to regulations and Baxter quality policies.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES• Manage the activities of the Quality department with responsibility for results in terms of product and critical system quality, performance and safety.• Ensure supplier quality compliance.• Be the management representative to maintain a solid system as below aspects:a. Implements the quality systems procedures and manages compliance in the department. Ensure thatquality objectives are established, understood and met.
b. Develop and implement continuous improvement
c. Enforce compliance to GMP's and local regulations• Understands and assures conformance to regulations in the department. Interfaces with regulators during regulatory inspections• Ensure safety and effective of the product.• Interacts frequently with subordinate supervisors and functional peer group managers • Identifies and manages continuous improvement projects with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements.• Develops budget for a section or department and ensures adherence to the budget.• Coordinate with the European quality division on quality and technical matters.• Ensure and work in compliance with all EHS aspects. Adopt the Total Employee Involvement with responsibility for EHS per Facility Best Safety Practices (BSPs) in Management Responsibilities-see BSPs
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE.
Education: BSC in pharmacy. Experience: 5+ years’ experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field which should include 1-2 years of supervisory.Special Skills: Good communication and leadership skills, Good interpersonal I communication /influencing I negotiation skills, Strong analytical and problem solving skills and Good project management skills.Other: Ability to manage/supervise a team of employees.
